Tony Simmons (gridiron Football)

Tony "Touchdown" Simmons (born December 8, 1974) is a former American football and Canadian football player. He is currently coaching the Békéscsaba Raptors in Hungary. He played in the National Football League for the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, and most recently the New York Giants. In 2005, he signed with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. In both the 2005 and 2006 CFL seasons, he had strong starts but suffered season-ending injuries after only a handful of games. Had a strong 2007 season and was released in mid September 2007 for personal reasons. Showed up again on the Chicago Slaughter roster in 2009. April 2011, inducted into St. Rita High School Hall of Fame.
