Tony Gonzalez (American Football)

Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27, 1976) is an American football tight end for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of California, Berkeley, and was recognized as an All-American. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Gonzalez, a twelve-time Pro Bowl selection, currently holds the NFL records for most receptions by a tight end in a single season (102 in 2004) and in a career (1,192); he also holds the career tight end records for touchdowns (102) and reception yards (13,768). Although widely considered to be one of the greatest tight ends of all time, he has yet to win a playoff game so far in his illustrious career.
