Tony Frost

Tony Frost (born November 17, 1975) is an English cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper.

Born in Stoke-on-Trent, the Warwickshire keeper missed the second half of season 2001 after breaking his index finger. Having played the Texaco Under-16 competition in 1992, he continued up through the squad and played steadily until his 2001 injury.

He played through most of season 2005, after Keith Piper's ban left Warwickshire without a regular wicket-keeper. However, with Tim Ambrose signed for 2006, Frost has played very little league cricket, settling instead for appearances in the C&G Trophy and Twenty20 cup.

Following Ambrose's call-up to play for England, Frost re-signed for Warwickshire for the 2008 season as cover.

Despite the re-signing of Tony Frost being seen very much as backup in the wicket-keeping department, he ended the season having scored 1003 runs in his 13 Championship games, averaging 83.58 and scoring a career best of 242 not out. As a result of this he was awarded a Benefit Year for 2009.
