Famous quotes containing the words tonight and/or nights:
“I have had the accomplishment of something like this at heart ever since I was a boy.... So I feel tonight like the man who is lodging happily in the inn which lies half way along the journey and that in time, with a fresh impulse, we shall go the rest of the journey and sleep at the journeys end like men with a quiet conscience.”
—Woodrow Wilson (18561924)
“Autumn hath all the summers fruitful treasure;
Gone is our sport, fled is poor Croydons pleasure.
Short days, sharp days, long nights come on apace,
Ah! who shall hide us from the winters face?
Cold doth increase, the sickness will not cease,
And here we lie, God knows, with little ease.
From winter, plague, and pestilence, good Lord, deliver us!”
—Thomas Nashe (15671601)
