Greer went to Nova Southeastern University in the US and led them with 11.2 points and 4.9 rebounds after transferring prior to his sophomore season. He played in all 28 games, starting 27, which was tops on the team for starts and appearances. Greer was named Peach Belt Conference and Augusta State Freshman of the Year while he averaged 9.9 points-per-game and a team-high 5.3 boards-per-contest in 2003/04 with Augusta State.
