Tommy Fleming (musician) - Musical Style

Musical Style

When Fleming was asked how he would describe his genre of music he confessed that it is not opera nor rock 'n' roll. He said that he is just "very traditional and likes a song with a good story".

Whilst Fleming is often compared to Daniel O'Donnell, he has said that he does not know why this comparison is made. According to Fleming, it doesn't annoy him but O'Donnell would not be his cup of tea.

Famous quotes containing the words musical and/or style:

I think no woman I have had ever gave me so sweet a moment, or at so light a price, as the moment I owe to a newly heard musical phrase.
    Stendhal [Marie Henri Beyle] (1783–1842)

The habit some writers indulge in of perpetual quotation is one it behoves lovers of good literature to protest against, for it is an insidious habit which in the end must cloud the stream of thought, or at least check spontaneity. If it be true that le style c’est l’homme, what is likely to happen if l’homme is for ever eking out his own personality with that of some other individual?
    Dame Ethel Smyth (1858–1944)
