Famous quotes containing the words tokyo, gore and/or police:
“Eclecticism is the degree zero of contemporary general culture: one listens to reggae, watches a western, eats McDonalds food for lunch and local cuisine for dinner, wears Paris perfume in Tokyo and retro clothes in Hong Kong; knowledge is a matter for TV games. It is easy to find a public for eclectic works.”
—Jean François Lyotard (b. 1924)
“All I really want to be is boring. When people talk about me, Id like them to say, Carols basically a short Bill Bradley. Or, Carols kind of like Al Gore in a skirt.”
—Carol Moseley-Braun (b. 1947)
“Anarchism is a game at which the police can beat you.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
