In past generations Tiwaris traditionally pursued occupations in teaching and religion. The current generation has many engineers, chartered accountants,physicians, scientists, civil servants, writers, musicians, actors, athletes, businessmen and politicians. The Tiwari community's first basic principle and priority is higher education, and the literacy rate among Tiwaris is almost 99.9%.
