She married actor Duane Martin in August 16, 1997. They have two sons, Xen Martin, born in August 8, 2001, and Ezekiel Czar, born in September 8, 2009. When Xen was 18 months old, he was diagnosed with autism, propelling the actress into becoming a spokesperson for the occurrence of autism in the African-American community.
