In January Oslo District Court found two men guilty of planning a terror attack against Jyllandsposten and the cartoonist Kurt Westergaard. In October Borgarting Court of Appeal upheld the convictions and sentenced one of the convicted who is of Uighur origin to eight years in prison and the other who is of Iraqi Kurdish origin to three years in prison. The former has appealed the sentence to the Supreme Court of Norway.
