Lucas won in three different categories of the 2006 The Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards: Best Writer, Best Magazine (Video Watchdog, its fifth annual win in this category) and Best Website (Video WatchBlog). He continued his winning streak as Best Writer in 2007, 2008 and 2011. With his wife and business partner Donna, Lucas was inducted into the Monster Kid Hall of Fame at the 2010 Rondo Awards ceremony in May 2011.
