Heidecker was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He attended Allentown Central Catholic High School and Temple University.
Heidecker is married to Marilyn Porayko. She has appeared on Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
In 2006, Tim was stabbed twice in the upper back while attempting to protect an elderly neighbor. After responding to her calls for help in the night, he discovered her son, (who was believed to be under the influence of a synthetic drug) threatening to cut his own penis off and burn the house down. The wounds were not life threatening.
