Tim Carvell is the head writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. As a staff writer for the show, he won Emmy Awards in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2011. Since 2005, he has written the "Planet Tad" column for Mad Magazine; in 2012, he wrote a book based on the column, also called "Planet Tad". He has also written for Fortune Magazine, McSweeney's Quarterly Concern, The New York Times, Modern Humorist, Entertainment Weekly, and Slate.com.
He is a 1995 graduate of Columbia University.
