Tiffin School - Drama

Drama

Drama has been a long-standing Tiffin tradition and, with the status of Performing Arts College granted in 2003, this continues. The main school production is put on in the first week of December and there is usually a smaller production in the summer. Previous productions have included School for Scandal, Macbeth, The Odyssey, The Government Inspector, Playing the Victim and Hit the Gold Trail (in collaboration with NYMT), and most recently West Side Story, Richard III and Sweeney Todd.

Famous quotes containing the word drama:

The drama of life begins with a wail and ends with a sigh.
    Minna Antrim (b. 1861)

Narrative prose is a legal wife, while drama is a posturing, boisterous, cheeky and wearisome mistress.
    Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860–1904)

Only in the problem play is there any real drama, because drama is no mere setting up of the camera to nature: it is the presentation in parable of the conflict between Man’s will and his environment: in a word, of problem.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)
