Thri-kreen - Creative Origins

Creative Origins

The thri-kreen race was first introduced to D&D in 1982 by Paul Reiche III for the second set of Monster Cards. They have persisted into 3rd and 3.5 editions and appear in the Monster Manual II, Expanded Psionics Handbook, and various sourcebooks for the Forgotten Realms.

Famous quotes containing the words creative and/or origins:

Imagination could hardly do without metaphor, for imagination is, literally, the moving around in one’s mind of images, and such images tend commonly to be metaphoric. Creative minds, as we know, are rich in images and metaphors, and this is true in science and art alike. The difference between scientist and artist has little to do with the ways of the creative imagination; everything to do with the manner of demonstration and verification of what has been seen or imagined.
    Robert A. Nisbet (b. 1913)

Grown onto every inch of plate, except
Where the hinges let it move, were living things,
    Barnacles, mussels, water weeds—and one
Blue bit of polished glass, glued there by time:
    The origins of art.
    Howard Moss (b. 1922)
