Threads of Fate - Duo Princess

EasyGameStation decided to make their own sequel to Threads of Fate in 2003, dubbed Duo Princess. The game looks and plays a lot like the later-generation Ys titles (Ark of Napishtim, Oath in Felghana, and Origin), featuring sprite based characters on top of polygonal backgrounds. The visuals are simplistic and the controls aren't quite as fast nor as tight. When bad guys are killed, they explode in a mess of gems, which are automatically drawn to your character; a cool effect reminiscent of any number of arcade shoot-em-ups. Compared to its predecessor, Duo Princess is more of a straight-up brawler than an RPG.

The goal is to eliminate the opponent(s) throughout the seven stages, and quick cinema scenes appear between intermissions. You can play as either Mint or Maya - Mint returns with her Dual Haloes along with close range magic attacks, while Maya uses her Book of Cosmos, emitting long range magic bursts. Both have access to different sets of spells that are useful for clearing out large hordes of enemies.

My generation had Doris Day as a role model, then Gloria Steinem—then Princess Diana. We are the most confused generation.
