Humanitarian
He's always included a humanitarian component in his business and artistic endeavours by giving back to people both through his volunteer time and financially. He's served with, Habitat for Humanity since 1999 and is the past Chairman of the Board for Habitat for Humanity in Detroit, Michigan (HFHD). During his term on the Board of HFHD he was part of the team that significantly revised the strategic direction of the affiliate, restructured the organization including chairing the selection committee for the new Executive Director, and participated with Habitat International.
With the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) he started as a student member in undergraduate college, worked with the Board of Government Relations, helped to raise funds for the ASME's Foundation with Senator John Sununu's team and is the Past Senior Vice President of the Knowledge and Community Sector which represents all 120,000 members of the ASME throughout the world.
