Production
Series 11 is the first in the Series to be filmed in high-definition television format. The broadcast version only included 20 episodes, with six further episodes focusing on the narrow gauge engines on the Skarloey Railway released on DVD as Engines and Escapades. This is also the last season that uses models instead of CGI (Computer-generated imagery).
