The initial text discussing the Third Temple is written in the Book of Ezekiel chapter 40, where, on the day of Yom Kippur of the Hebrew calendar 3372, Ezekiel prophesies the third temple architecture as well as envisioning the permanent entrance of the God of Israel through the eastern gate of the third temple wall.
