The Wrecking Crew (music)

The Wrecking Crew was a nickname coined by drummer Hal Blaine for a group of session musicians in Los Angeles, California, who played anonymously on many records in the 1960s. They backed dozens of popular singers, and were one of the most successful groups of studio musicians in music history. The Wrecking Crew was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame on November 26, 2007.

Famous quotes containing the word crew:

    Nor aught availed him now
To have built in heav’n high tow’rs; nor did he scape
By all his engines, but was headlong sent
With his industrious crew to build in hell.
    John Milton (1608–1674)
