Famous quotes containing the words whispering and/or statue:

    But who, alas! can love, and then be wise?
    Not that remorse did not oppose temptation;
    A little still she strove, and much repented,
    And whispering ‘I will ne’er consent’Mconsented.
    George Gordon Noel Byron (1788–1824)

    Where the statue stood
    Of Newton with his prism and silent face,
    The marble index of a mind for ever
    Voyaging through strange seas of thought, alone.
    William Wordsworth (1770–1850)
