The Wallace and Ladmo Show - Plays

Plays

In recent years there have been two plays written about the show. The first play follows Wallace, Ladmo, Pat and Mike Condello as they struggle to hold the show together when the parody band, Hubb Kapp and the Wheels, is offered a record deal with Capitol Records. The second play deals with the death of Ladmo from cancer. The first play was performed two times at the Herberger Theatre in downtown Phoenix, with several celebrities showing up as "Time Machine" guests, including Alice Cooper. The plays were all written by Ben Tyler with input from both Thompson and McMahon.

Famous quotes containing the word plays:

    I bow’d not to thy image for succession,
    Nor bound thy bow to shoot reformed kindness,
    Thy plays of hope and fear were my confession,
    The spectacles to my life was thy blindness;
    But Cupid now farewell, I will go play me,
    With thoughts that please me less and less betray me.
    Fulke Greville (1554–1628)

    The plays of children are nonsense, but very educative nonsense. So it is with the largest and solemnest things, with commerce, government, church, marriage, and so with the history of every man’s bread, and the ways by which he is to come by it.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

    Nature is so perfect that the Trinity couldn’t have fashioned her any more perfect. She is an organ on which our Lord plays and the devil works the bellows.
    Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749–1832)
