Sequel
Adam Rex hinted on his Twitter page on April 1, 2013 about the possibility of a sequel, primarily as an April Fools' Day teaser, saying, "I'm writing a Smekday sequel. APRIL FOOLS! No really, I am though. Or am I? Yes. ????" On April 2, 2013, he backed up his previous statement saying, "Addendum yesterday's tweet, I'm writing a sequel to SMEKDAY. You know I'm not lying because it's physically impossible to lie on April 2nd." He had made other mentions to the upcoming book on Twitter. A date has not yet been set for the release of this book.
