- On the back of the second book, the short description states that the human homeworld has been destroyed by the Conclave. While this does not match the novel, the Kualkua in Pyotr reveals that their homeworld has been destroyed for disobeying the Conclave.
- The Columbia disaster was exactly predicted at the beginning of the first book. "...Twice shuttles crashed during the landing. Some part was burned through or isolation tile was torn away, than stream of plasma breached inside..."
