The Snow Goose (album) - Tour 2013

Tour 2013

Camel will embark on a brief tour in the autumn 2013, performing The Snow Goose for the first time since the Royal Albert Hall show in 1975, in loving memory of Peter Bardens and in celebration of Camel's long and illustrious musical career. Andrew Latimer will be joined by Colin Bass, Denis Clement, Guy LeBlanc and special guest Jan Schelhaas for the show, which marks the first time the band have played since their farewell tour.

A statement explains: “The evening pays tribute to former band member Peter Bardens, who died of cancer at the same time as frontman Latimer was battling a terminal illness.

“Ten years later, Latimer has regained health and is willing to celebrate a career that spans over four decades. This two-set show will also embrace compositions recorded throughout those years in a personal covenant of appreciation for a deeply rewarding life of music.”

Famous quotes containing the word tour:

Left Washington, September 6, on a tour through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia.... Absent nineteen days. Received every where heartily. The country is again one and united! I am very happy to be able to feel that the course taken has turned out so well.
