The Secret of Kells (working title: Brendan and the Secret of Kells) is a 2009 Irish-French-Belgian animated feature film by Cartoon Saloon that premiered on February 8, 2009, at the 59th Berlin International Film Festival. It went into wide release in Belgium and France on February 11, and in the Republic of Ireland on March 3. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
