The Raw And The Cooked (album)

The Raw & the Cooked is the second and final album by Fine Young Cannibals, released in early 1989. The title of the album comes from the book of the same name ("Le Cru et le Cuit" in French) written by French anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss.

A remixed version was released as The Raw and the Remix in 1990.

Famous quotes containing the words raw and/or cooked:

I reverently believe that the Maker who made us all makes everything in New England but the weather. I don’t know who makes that, but I think it must be raw apprentices in the weather-clerk’s factory who experiment and learn how.... In the spring I have counted one hundred and thirty-six different kinds of weather inside of four-and-twenty hours.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

who cooked rotten animals lung heart feet tailborscht & tortillas
dreaming of the pure vegetable kingdom,
    Allen Ginsberg (b. 1926)
