It is set during the 2008 presidential election, and revolves around fictional Ohioan Senator Corey Grace, and his quest to become the Republican nominee for President of the United States. Main Characters: Corey Grace: Senator from Ohio Republican Was a fighter pilot in the beginning of the book. He became a POW and was later awarded the purple heart. Had a family that he wasn't close to. Became a Senator after the war. Appealed to veterans of the war.He dates a black actress "Lexie Hart" throughout the book.
