Production Notes
The series was created and co-produced by Irving Brecher, who was also the creator of the 1949 sitcom, The Life of Riley. Although The People's Choice never made the top 30 programs, its ratings were respectable enough to warrant a three-year run on NBC. The show later became popular in syndication.
In its first season, The People's Choice aired opposite Stop the Music, which concluded its long run on ABC.

Famous quotes containing the words production and/or notes:
“The production of too many useful things results in too many useless people.”
—Karl Marx (18181883)
“Lap me in soft Lydian airs,
Married to immortal verse,
Such as the meeting soul may pierce
In notes with many a winding bout
Of linked sweetness long drawn out,
With wanton heed and giddy cunning,
The melting voice through mazes running,
Untwisting all the chains that tie
The hidden soul of harmony;”
—John Milton (16081674)
