Famous quotes containing the words pains, pure and/or heart:

“I took a good deal o’ pains with his eddication, sir; let him run in the streets when he was wery young, and shift for his-self. It’s the only way to make a boy sharp, sir.”
    Charles Dickens (1812–1870)

    He gathers deeds
In the pure air, the agent
    Of their factual excesses.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)

For like as herbs and trees bringen forth fruit and flourish in May, in likewise every lusty heart that is in any manner a lover, springeth and flourisheth in lusty deeds.
    Thomas Malory (c. 1430–1471)
