The One Academy

The One Academy of Communication Design (generally shortened to The One Academy) is an award-winning arts and design institute headquartered in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, with campuses in George Town, Penang and Beijing, China. It is renowned for establishing a strong working network with the real industry, and has grown to become one of the top institutions known to have produced some of the best designers and artists around the region today.

By winning The Asia Pacific Brands Foundation's BrandLaureate awards for three consecutive years namely Best Brand in Education in 2008 and 2009, and Most Creative Brand in 2010, as well as being named as the "Best Of The Best" creative institution of higher learning at the Adrenaline Student Creative Awards 2005 (Malaysia & Singapore), it is acknowledged as one of the more prominent art, design and creative multimedia instutitions in the region, living up to its "Masters Train Masters" philosophy.

Many of its graduates have achieved success globally, for instance contributing computer graphics to Hollywood blockbusters such as Avatar, The Incredible Hulk, 2012, Life of Pi, Snow White and the Huntsman, Marmaduke, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked and Yogi Bear, producing Batman illustrations for New York-based comics publisher DC Comics, winning the D&AD (Design and Art Direction) Award in London, as well as the 12th Animation Academy Awards organised by Beijing Film Academy's Animation Academy in Beijing.
