The Occidental Quarterly - Publisher and Editors

Publisher and Editors

The journal is published by the Charles Martel Society (not to be confused with France's anti-Algerian Charles Martel Group), named in honor of Charles Martel, who halted a Muslim invasion of Europe at the Battle of Tours in 732.

The current editor of Occidental Quarterly is Kevin B. MacDonald. Its publisher is William Regnery II. Editorial advisory board members include Virginia Abernethy, Richard Lynn, James C. Russell, Kevin B. MacDonald, Wayne Lutton, and Brent Nelson. Jared Taylor, of the American Renaissance magazine, is a past member. Samuel T. Francis was an associate editor until his death.

In response to a critical essay by The American Prospect, Regnery defended the editorial board, stating: "Of the thirteen individuals on its editorial board, ten hold Ph.D.s and two others are editors of their own publications. All are respected writers in their own fields."

Famous quotes containing the words publisher and/or editors:

A publisher is a specialised form of bank or building society, catering for customers who cannot cope with life and are therefore forced to write about it.
    Colin Haycraft (b. 1929)

The trenchant editorials plus the keen rivalry natural to extremely partisan papers made it necessary for the editors to be expert pugilists and duelists as well as journalists. An editor made no assertion that he could not defend with fists or firearms.
—Federal Writers’ Project Of The Wor, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
