Synopsis
The new series features an entirely different cast and was well received. Gomez was played by John Astin look-alike-sound-alike Glenn Taranto. The show reworked several storylines from the original series while incorporating modern elements, jokes, and references into the episodes. John Astin (Gomez from the original series) played Grandpa Addams, Gomez's grandfather.
65 episodes were made, one more than the original series. It was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and ended in 1999 and 2000 in the United States. It was shown in reruns until Fox Family became ABC Family.
