The Nerves - Peter Case & Paul Collins 2012 Reunion Tribute To The Nerves

Peter Case & Paul Collins 2012 Reunion Tribute To The Nerves

In Spring 2012, longtime friends and musical partners, Peter Case and Paul Collins announced a reunion tour paying tribute to their bands The Nerves, The Breakaways, The Beat and The Plimsouls. The band lineup for the Collins and Case tour was augmented by members of The Paul Collins Beat (Timm Buechler, bass, and Amos Pitsch, drums), offering audiences with a full-band electric showcase. This reunion was not billed as The Nerves, because Jack Lee chose not to be part of the tour. Paul Collins was dismissed from the tour before its completion due to personality reasons.

Jack Lee has performed annually as a solo artist with his group Jack Lee Inferno.

Famous quotes containing the words collins, tribute, peter, paul, case and/or nerves:

    Though taste, though genius bless
    To some divine excess,
    Faint’s the cold work till thou inspire the whole;
    What each, what all supply,
May court, may charm our eye,
Thou, only thou, canst raise the meeting soul!
    —William Collins (1721–1759)

It is a tribute to the peculiar horror of contemporary life that it makes the worst features of earlier times—the stupefaction of the masses, the obsessed and driven lives of the bourgeoisie—seem attractive by comparison.
    Christopher Lasch (b. 1932)

The concept of a person is logically prior to that of an individual consciousness. The concept of a person is not to be analysed as that of an animated body or an embodied anima.
—Sir Peter Frederick Strawson (b. 1919)

And is the price for your acceptance for me to conform? To be as you would want me to be?... You must accept me as I am. Do not question.... If my behavior seems different perhaps it is because it serves a higher purpose than to find acceptance in this dull and useless world.
Pat Fielder, and Paul Landres. Dracula (Francis Lederer)

If you think dope is for kicks and for thrills, you’re out of your mind. There are more kicks to be had in a good case of paralytic polio or by living in an iron lung. If you think you need stuff to play music or sing, you’re crazy. It can fix you so you can’t play nothing or sing nothing.
    Billie Holiday (1915–1959)

There is an eternal vital correspondence between our blood and the sun: there is an eternal vital correspondence between our nerves and the moon. If we get out of contact and harmony with the sun and moon, then both turn into great dragons of destruction against us.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)
