The Head Shop is a psychedelic rock band from New York that released one eponymous album on Epic in 1969. The album cover features a swirling group of multi-colored (and numbered) boxes that surround a black-and-white image of a shrunken head. The back cover is mostly black with minimal copy but also includes a shot of the band lit from beneath.

Famous quotes containing the words head and/or shop:
“Piece by piece I seem
to re-enter the world: I first began
a small, fixed dot, still see
that old myself, a dark-blue thumbtack
pushed into the scene,
a hard little head protruding
from the pointillists buzz and bloom.”
—Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
“Griff: If I let you set up shop in this neighborhood, the people would chop me like a ripe banana.
Kelly: Then whyd you buy my merchandise?
Griff: I ... I was thirsty!”
—Samuel Fuller (b. 1911)
