Famous quotes containing the words dangerous, lives and/or altar:

    It is dangerous to be sincere unless you are also stupid.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

    Now you courtly dames and knights,
    That study only strange delights,
    Though you scorn the home-spun gray
    And revel in your rich array;
    Though your tongues dissemble deep
    And can your heads from danger keep:
    Yet for all your pomp and train,
    Securer lives the silly swain.
    Thomas Campion (1567–1620)

    My generation, dear Ron, swore on the Altar of God that whoever proclaims the intent of destroying the Jewish state or the Jewish people, or both, seals his fate.
    Menachem Begin (1913–1992)
