"The Dandelion Girl" influenced Yutaka Izubuchi in the production of the Japanese anime series RahXephon. The repeated line "Day before yesterday I saw a rabbit, and yesterday a deer, and today, you." from the story was featured in the visual novel Clannad and its anime series adaptation. The line was also referenced by the video game Portal 2.
