Youth & Community Program
The Crucible Youth Program explores multidisciplinary subject areas and is committed to community service with local schools and neighborhoods. Since 2005, the Youth and Community Outreach Program has served nearly 8,000 youth between the ages of 8 and 18!
This program includes weekend and afterschool classes, camps, and field trips. These experiences support learning in areas such as mathematics, science, art, and world culture. Participants learn about the processes, tools, materials and applications of industrial arts and are inspired to make connections between arts and science.

Famous quotes containing the words youth, community and/or program:
“Phebe. Good shepherd, tell this youth what tis to love.
Silvius. It is to be all made of sighs and tears.
...
It is to be all made of faith and service.
...
It is to be all made of fantasy,
All made of passion, and all made of wishes,
All adoration, duty, and observance,
All humbleness, all patience, and impatience,
All purity, all trial, all observance.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“I dont think Dr. King helped racial harmony, I think he helped racial justice. What I profess to do is help the oppressed and if I cause a load of discomfort in the white community and the black community, that in my opinion means Im being effective, because Im not trying to make them comfortable. The job of an activist is to make people tense and cause social change.”
—Al, Reverend Sharpton (b. 1954)
“In 1862 the congregation of the church forwarded the church bell to General Beauregard to be melted into cannon, hoping that its gentle tones, that have so often called us to the House of God, may be transmuted into wars resounding rhyme to repel the ruthless invader from the beautiful land God, in his goodness, has given us.”
—Federal Writers Project Of The Wor, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
