GCSE Options
English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, RSI, PE and PSHCE are all compulsory subjects at the college.
Some students, however, will go on to study English Literature and Statistics once the primary GCSEs are settled.
Students taking each science as a separate subject, will study for three GCSEs, one each for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Triple science is offered to some students where the Double Award or Science Nationals is offered to others.
During the first three years, the following is offered in the Technology department. Students may choose one of these to continue at GCSE level.
- Food Technology
- Graphics
- Resistant Materials
- Textiles
During the first three years, students will be taught French or Urdu. They may continue these at GCSE level in Year 10.
