In 1967 the film earned an estimated $2,225,000 in North American rentals.

The movie was re-released by AIP in 1971 to take advantage of the success of Billy Jack. AIP issued ads claiming the film was the first appearance of Billy Jack, leading to a lawsuit from Laughlin.
