The Big Give - The Big Garden Give

The Big Garden Give

On Sunday, 21 August 2011 the Big Give hosted its very first Big Garden Give, raising £2,600 for a wide range of charities. All proceeds raised from the Big Garden Give went to charity, with each visitor donating their £5 entry fee to a charity of their choice on the Big Give website.

On Sunday, 22 July 2012, Sir Alec Reed opened the grounds of The Manor in Little Compton to benefit hundreds of charities on the Big Give. The Manor, dating back to the 11th century and the time of William the Conqueror, was opened to the public for only the third time in the Manor’s long history.

With all proceeds going to charity, the Big Garden Give 2012 raised over £1,600. Country teas and a variety of homemade cakes were provided by, and raised money for, the Little Compton Village Hall.
