The Best of Dino Merlin is a greatest hits package by Bosnian singer Dino Merlin. Released in 2001 the album contains 18 hits. About two thirds of it is devoted to hits with the Merlin Band, but the other third (roughly) is solo tracks.
Like Sredinom released in 2000, there are two possible track listings for this album. One is the "original list" where the tracks are not in chronological order, and the other list released slightly later has the same tracks, but in chronological order.
Famous quotes containing the words the best of, the best and/or merlin:
“We are beginning to wonder whether a servant girl hasnt the best of it after all. She knows how the salad tastes without the dressing, and she knows how lifes lived before it gets to the parlor door.”
—Djuna Barnes (18921982)
“The New Testament is remarkable for its pure morality; the best of the Hindoo Scripture, for its pure intellectuality. The reader is nowhere raised into and sustained in a higher, purer, or rarer region of thought than in the Bhagvat-Geeta.... It is unquestionably one of the noblest and most sacred scriptures which have come down to us.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Of Merlin wise I learned a song,
Sing it low, or sing it loud,
It is mightier than the strong,
And punishes the proud.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
