The Barry Gibb Talk Show

The Barry Gibb Talk Show is a recurring sketch on Saturday Night Live about a talk show starring Barry Gibb, lead singer for the Bee Gees, and his brother, Robin Gibb. It features Jimmy Fallon as Barry Gibb and Justin Timberlake as Robin Gibb. The sketch was created by writers Ken Scarborough and Steve Higgins.

The sketch is characterized by Barry Gibb's falsetto voice, used throughout most of the sketch and his extremely short temper and tendency to verbally berate his guests, usually political figures. Meanwhile, Robin provides lackluster answers to Barry's questions (usually "No. No, I don't.") as well as humorous backup for their call and response falsetto singing, particularly in the opening and closing credits. Both he and his brother appeared on the March 16, 2010 episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon where they all performed together.

The sketch uses the Bee Gees' 1975 hit "Nights on Broadway" as its theme, but with different lyrics.

Five episodes of The Barry Gibb Talk Show aired. After Robin Gibb's death in May 2012, the sketch has not been performed.

Famous quotes containing the words barry, talk and/or show:

Let’s face it, we became ingrown, clannish, and retarded. Cut off from the mainstream of humanity, we came to believe that pink is “flesh-color”, that mayonnaise is a nutrient, and that Barry Manilow is a musician.
    Barbara Ehrenreich (b. 1941)

I like a friend the better for having faults that one can talk about.
    William Hazlitt (1778–1830)

Snarls and sobs show that a love affair is getting serious.
