Each episode in the first two seasons started with a country scene of faux-normal life in Olde England during which an introductory poem in rhymed cadence to the tune of the English folksong "Early One Morning," which derived from a much later period than the series. The poem was a supposedly humorous summary vignette of what could be expected in the episode. The end of the episode was followed by the theme song of Robin Hood for the series with the production credits given.
