The Accounting Review is a peer-reviewed academic journal of the American Accounting Association. It was established in 1926 and its current editor-in-chief is John Harry Evans III (University of Pittsburgh).
It is listed as one of the 45 journals used by the Financial Times to compile its business-school research ranks and in Bloomberg Businessweek's Top 20 Journals. According to the Journal Citation Reports, it has a 2008 impact factor of 1.92, ranking it the third accounting journal.
