Thankful (Kelly Clarkson Album) - Release History

Release History

Initially, the album had been scheduled to be released in November 2002, only a few months after the completion of the first season of American Idol. However, Clarkson's demanding schedule and difficulty finding tracks that suited her taste and image forced the album to be delayed several times. By the time the album was released, over six months had elapsed since "A Moment Like This" had reached number one.

Famous quotes containing the words release and/or history:

If I were to be taken hostage, I would not plead for release nor would I want my government to be blackmailed. I think certain government officials, industrialists and celebrated persons should make it clear they are prepared to be sacrificed if taken hostage. If that were done, what gain would there be for terrorists in taking hostages?
    Margaret Mead (1901–1978)

False history gets made all day, any day,
the truth of the new is never on the news
False history gets written every day

sifting her own life out from the shards she’s piecing,
asking the clay all questions but her own.
