Thalassery is home to the Government Brennen College, Thalassery, founded in 1851, one of the oldest educational institutions in the region. The Basel Evangelic Mission Parsy (B.E.M.P High school) is the first English Medium school set up in Thalassery. MES Bava Residential School is the first CBSE school set up in Thalassery.
