History
The Longhorn baseball program has been remarkably stable over the last century. Since 1911, it has had only four full-time coaches--Billy Disch (1911–1939), Bibb Falk (1940–1967), Cliff Gustafson (1968–1996) and Augie Garrido (1997–present).
The Longhorns have won national titles in 1949, 1950, 1975, 1983, 2002, and 2005.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“In nature, all is useful, all is beautiful. It is therefore beautiful, because it is alive, moving, reproductive; it is therefore useful, because it is symmetrical and fair. Beauty will not come at the call of a legislature, nor will it repeat in England or America its history in Greece. It will come, as always, unannounced, and spring up between the feet of brave and earnest men.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“In every election in American history both parties have their clichés. The party that has the clichés that ring true wins.”
—Newt Gingrich (b. 1943)
“We aspire to be something more than stupid and timid chattels, pretending to read history and our Bibles, but desecrating every house and every day we breathe in.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
