History
The Texas Credit Union League was incorporated on October 6, 1934, in the Hotel Texas in Fort Worth, now the Hilton Fort Worth.
Since its organization, TCUL's vision statement ensures that TCUL will "be the essential partner for credit union success."
Further building upon this principle, TCUL's mission statement proclaims a goal "to protect credit unions, and promote their growth, strength and unity. TCUL currently employs approximately 130 employees, with the majority being "out in the field," to make sure their vision and their mission reach as large an audience as possible.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“the future is simply nothing at all. Nothing has happened to the present by becoming past except that fresh slices of existence have been added to the total history of the world. The past is thus as real as the present.”
—Charlie Dunbar Broad (18871971)
“History has neither the venerableness of antiquity, nor the freshness of the modern. It does as if it would go to the beginning of things, which natural history might with reason assume to do; but consider the Universal History, and then tell us,when did burdock and plantain sprout first?”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The history of medicine is the history of the unusual.”
—Robert M. Fresco, and Jack Arnold. Prof. Gerald Deemer (Leo G. Carroll)
