Stage Presence
Adams' live performances with NRBQ are brimming with energy, technique, wild humor, and showmanship that ultimately veer towards a kind of highly entertaining self-parody. Any given NRBQ performance has been propelled in great part by Adams' exhilarating technique, his artful musicality and his magnetic stage presence. He is known to appear onstage in colorful shirts and with various elastic bands tied in his long blond hair.

Famous quotes containing the words stage and/or presence:
“I know that each stage is not going to last forever. I used to think that when he was little. Whenever he was in a bad stage I thought that he was going to be like that for the rest of his life and that Id better do something to shape him up. When he was in a good state, I thought he was going to be a perfect child and I would never have to worry; he was always going to stay that way.”
—Anonymous Parent of An Eight-Year-Old. As quoted in Between Generations by Ellen Galinsky, ch. 4 (1981)
“A right rule for a club would be, Admit no man whose presence excludes any one topic. It requires people who are not surprised and shocked, who do and let do, and let be, who sink trifles, and know solid values, and who take a great deal for granted.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
